The project represents an opportunity to expand the range of public spaces available to the community, through interventions that enable the full use of the area and open it up to the city for a variety of activities and purposes.
Given its particular relationship with the memories and defining characteristics of the complex, as well as with the representative functions it accommodates, the project offers the city an opportunity to reclaim a place where history and identity come together.
The restoration of these spaces of memory, together with the functional organisation and the use of vegetation, is expressed through materials and technological solutions focused on health, environmental sustainability and recyclability, while minimising environmental impact. These principles provide a further key to interpreting the project.
